With an objective to restore peace at State Farm Colony High School and its adjoining areas in Islampur, SDPO Islampur Mr Devid Lepcha today held a meeting in Islampur police station. It was decided that the State Farm Colony High school which remained closed since Monday following the clash that took place between the students and some outside goons will re-open tomorrow.
20 people including 10 students and two police men were injured in this clash. In the meantime police only arrested one. Residents of Farm colony as well as the students of the school are demanding arrest of the goons who entered the premises and attacked the students. So a decision was made to deploy police infront of the schools for the next few days to prevent any untoward incident.
