In protest against the alleged irregularities and illegalities of a tender notice recently issued by the Principal Agricultural Officer of North Dinajpur, Mr B C Chakraborty, the members of West Dinajpur Contractors Association have decided to approach the a Kolkata High Court.
A tender notice was invited and was issued by Mr Chakraborty for the construction of a boundary wall in the Agricultural Farm house at Udaypur in Raiganj for which Rs 50 lakhs was being spent. The members of WDCA said that according to tender rules there should be atleast a months, gap between the date of issuing a notice for the tender and issuing the tender. But the concerned authorities did not maintain the same, violating government norms.
